Kielar sat in a bar in the far corner by himself. He was a regular at the place not because he drank but because he performed there. Kielar Maximoff was not the same person anymore though. It was hard top get over the death of your sister and often he tensed up at just the thought of moving on. She had been there when he tried to kill himself and was there for everything after. They had been born together, they had lost their mother together, they had grown up and apart together, they had found each other again, and now there was an empty space.
She was gone.
She wasn't coming back.
His sister.
His other half.
Kielar didn't know what to do. He didn't know how he could laugh again without having her smack him upside the head when he got to loud. He was lost. He hated the X-men. He hated himself. It was not the same. It was just too different without her. Kielar would wake up in the morning expecting Karla to be fighting with him over the bathroom. He woke up to nothing now though.
The young man stood up finally and grabbed his guitar before making his way to the small stage. He sat on the stool and pulled the mic towards him as he quickly tuned the guitar in his hand. He began to sing, just like he used to, only it wasn't the same, the song was slower, and very deep.
I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don't bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let ?em out
I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while even though
Goin' on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I'm okay
But that's not what gets me
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And havin' so much to say
And watchin' you walk away
And never knowin'
What could've been
And not seein' that lovin' you
Is what I was tryin' to do
It's hard to deal with the pain of losin' you everywhere I go
But I'm doin' it
It's hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I'm alone
Still harder gettin' up, gettin' dressed, livin' with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade, give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken
What hurts the most
Is being so close
And havin' so much to say
(Much to say)
And watchin' you walk away
And never knowin'
What could've been
And not seein' that lovin' you
Is what I was tryin' to do, oh
Oh yeah
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And havin' so much to say
(To say)
And watchin' you walk away
And never knowin'
What could've been
And not seein' that lovin' you
Is what I was tryin' to do
Not seein' that lovin' you
That's what I was trying to do, ooo
As the song ended many people looked on at him, several clapped. The emotion had been true, come from his soul. He was hurting. His sister was gone. His sister was an angel and he was left here, lost and alone.
